Dan Marso and Sam Shane spent most of their summer days in Minnesota on baseball diamonds. They shared the dreams, failures, and triumphs of the game. Today both men have devoted their lives to telling and illustrating stories.
Sam (left) grew up in Hastings, MN. He graduated from, and played baseball for, the University of Minnesota. Sam spent nearly 20years as a TV new anchor/reporter - including MSNBC. He now lives in Northern California with his wife and daughter and is the lead anchor for KVOR in Sacramento.
Dan (right) grew up in Mankato, MN. He graduated from, and played baseball for, the University of St. Thomas. A shortstop, he was recently named to the St. Thomas 100 Years of Baseball All Century Team. He is a cartoonist who named his company, Friday Dog Cartooning, after his dog, Friday. Dan lives in St. Paul.
